My Role:

Lead designer on Microsoft’s Mixed Reality Development Platform team. Responsible for C&L’s visual language across all Microsoft Learning platforms for Mixed Reality products. Our front-line hero imagery drives curiosity and influences readers to dive through documentation pages, learning modules, and Microsoft Store for Business Apps with ease.

Teams Mission:

About:

Mixed Reality’s Content and Learning program is a world-class learning experience empowering innovators to adopt mixed reality technologies and teach anyone who wants to get started in Mixed Reality Development.

Developer Schematics:

Responsible for designing visual schematics across the entire Mixed Reality ecosystem to empower developers who are eager to learn. During the design process I had to team up with IT professionals and MR SME to learn about the inner workings, then create high-level flows.

Goal:

Make it easier for experienced developers and beginners to get up and running with Mixed Reality services. Schematics below are featured for AltspaceVR & HoloLens2.

Design Process:

This section cover’s the iteration process I used to create a few hero images. All images were created using Cinema 4d and Octane for Rendering.

Mixed reality (MR) is the intersection between the physical and digital world. Blending the two together to create immersive experiences. (MR) enables users to interact with virtual objects and data in their real-life surroundings by utilizing platforms such as the HoloLens 2, Azure Spatial Anchors, and Mixed Reality Toolkit (MRTK). User experiences are enhanced through intuitive interactions and immersive holographic representations.
